The decision to withdraw the AstraZeneca vaccine from the market
Vaccine maker AstraZeneca has said it will withdraw its VaxJevria or CoviShield vaccine from the market. Because since the corona epidemic, various vaccines have come in the market. As a result, a surplus of corona vaccines has been created.
In a statement, AstraZeneca said the surplus has now been created as a variety of Covid-19 vaccines have entered the market. In this situation, the vaccine is no longer being produced and supplied due to reduced demand for Vaxjavria.
Earlier, AstraZeneca admitted in court that the vaccine it produced could cause side effects such as blood clots and low blood pressure in recipients.
Last March, various media reported that AstraZeneca had applied to withdraw their vaccine from the market. The application finally came into effect on Tuesday (May 7).
