The Meteorological Office has predicted temporary stormy winds and thundershowers across the country including the capital Dhaka. The weather forecast for the next 72 hours from 9 am on Monday gave such information.

The forecast also said that the synoptic low pressure extension extends from West Bengal to Northwest Bay of Bengal. As a result, there may be temporary gusty or windy rain or thundershower at one or two places in Rangpur, Rajshahi Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal and Sylhet divisions. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky.

During this time, day temperature may increase by 1 to 2 degree Celsius and night temperature may increase slightly across the country.

Meanwhile, temporary rain or thundershower with gusty wind speed of 45 to 60 km will occur over Khulna, Mymensingh and Sylhet regions by 6 pm. Naval ports in these areas have been asked to display signal number 1.
