Former Minister of Textiles and Jute Ministry and chairman of Gazi Group Golam Dastgir Gazi has been arrested by the police. Law enforcement forces arrested him from his home in Shantinagar of the capital on Saturday (August 24) night. However, it is not yet confirmed in which case he has been arrested.
Paltan Police Station OC Mollah confirmed the arrest. Khalid Hossain said, the former jute minister was arrested from a house in Shantinagar. He was hiding in a relative's house to avoid arrest. A team of DB police arrested him from there tonight.
