Hunters killed the world's largest snake

Bangla Today News

The world's biggest snake was shot dead. On March 24, a shot dead body of a Northern Green Anaconda was found in the Formoso River in the Bonito village of Amazon, located in southern Brazil. The snake is believed to have been shot dead by poachers.

In a report, the British media Daily Mail reported this information. Reports say the snake is of the Northern Green Anaconda species. The snake was 26 feet long and weighed 440 pounds and had a head the size of a human head.

Last February, Dutch biologist Professor Frik Vonk shared a video with a giant anaconda. In the video, Vonk was seen swimming alongside the anaconda. Sharing the video, he said, “It is 26 feet tall and weighs around 200 kg. Together with 14 other scientists from nine countries, we discovered the world's largest snake species, the anaconda."

Expressing outrage over the death of the Northern Green Anaconda, Vonk said, “I have received information from several sources that the snake has been shot dead. I am very saddened and angry at the same time."
