Google has added a new search filter feature in the Google Drive update on Android operating system. This filter was recently added to the search box of the Google Drive app on iOS.

This information has emerged in a report of Android Police.

In this new feature, different files can be found easily. Apart from this, it will now be easier than ever to find the Google Drive app on Android by subject, person and date. Which will have filter options called 'Type', 'People' and 'Modified'.

It is known that each filter option will also have a dropdown menu. The type filter dropdown will have options like Documents, Spreadsheets, Presentations, Forms, Photos, PDFs, Videos, Shortcuts, Folders etc. The People dropdown will show the names of different people in the contact.

In this new feature, you can select different dates in addition to last 7 days, 30 days, one year options in the modified filter dropdown. Although these filter facilities were already available in the web version. However, location, shared to and follow-ups search filter facilities are not available on smartphones yet.

These filters are available in Google Drive version 2.24.147.0 and later versions. Apart from this, users can also use this facility by updating the Google Drive app on Android.
