Sheikh Hasina extended her congratulations to Donald Trump on his election as the 47th President of the United States. The message, shared by the Awami League on social media, referred to Hasina as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, despite her removal from office in August following protests.

In response, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut posted a story on social media commenting on Hasina’s statement: "Sheikh Hasina ji never resigned, today she congratulated Trump for his victory. High level khela hobe," Ranaut wrote.
