A Kolkata-based medical facility, Behala Balananda Brahmachari Hospital and Research Centre, has announced a 10% discount on medical services for Bangladeshi patients who visit India legally for treatment.

The announcement came during a press conference on Wednesday, where hospital superintendent Dr. Sushanta Sengupta and trust secretary Deepak Sarkar addressed the matter.

Responding to recent discussions about boycotting Bangladeshi patients, the hospital officials stated, "Why should patients seeking medical services be denied treatment? From a humanitarian perspective and as a doctor, it's our duty not to turn away any patient in need."
