Proctor's office has written to the provosts of various halls, deans of faculties and directors of institutes not to allow any program related to Ramadan discussion in Dhaka University (DU).
Last Friday (March 15) the proctor of the university. This ban was given in a letter signed by Md Maksudur Rahman. After 5 days today, Wednesday (March 20), the matter came to light.
In that letter, it is said that recently some students of the law department of the university organized a discussion on Ramadan under the title of 'Productive Ramadan' without permission. Unexpected incidents took place there and some law students were seriously injured in the attack.
The letter also states that some political organizations and politically known persons are engaged in efforts to divert the matter to different sectors with the aim of destabilizing the Dhaka University campus. The university authorities have reported the matter to the law enforcement agencies. At the same time, it is requested not to allow any such activities to be conducted for the fair environment of education and to avoid untoward incidents.
Dr. Proctor on these issues. Md. Maksudur Rahman said, 'We have made an investigation committee. An unexpected event has already occurred. Any other incident during the investigation will make our job more difficult. This is why we have given the letter.
