A tourism company called 'SpaceVIP' in New York has announced the opening of the first restaurant in space by 2025. The restaurant is being built at a height of 1 lakh feet from the surface. It currently has a table for six guests. There are big windows all around. Guests can sit there and enjoy the sunrise. Below will be a blue-white world.
SpaceVIP shared several pictures of the restaurant on their Instagram account. It shows that the restaurant will look like a balloon. Guests will be taken on a space tour in the high-tech space balloon for 6 hours. The per capita cost will be about 5 lakh dollars (about 5.5 crore taka). There will be wifi service. As a result, one can live stream from space, talk to friends or family.
Chef Rasmus Munk of one of the world's best Danish restaurants 'Alchemist' is preparing the menu of this restaurant. Although the menu is not finalized yet, the 32-year-old chef said that like a space tour full of surprises, the menu will also have surprises in taste and smell.
Munk said the cost is high, but there is a lot of enthusiasm among people. He said that there will be many more visits in the future. Then the ticket price will gradually decrease. More people can enjoy this experience.
SpaceVIP said that within 24 hours of their announcement, numerous booking inquiries started coming in. Many people want to know where to sign up if they want to sign up for this tour. "SpaceVIP" founder Roman Chiporukha said, "We have already received dozens of applications." Everyone is very enthusiastic. But we have only 6 seats. The passenger list will be finalized in the next few weeks.
The balloon-restaurant floating in space has been built by 'Space Perspectives'. Guests don't need any special training to get here. Passengers will be carried in a kind of capsule with the help of a space balloon. The US space agency NASA is behind the technology. Its trial run will begin from next month.
