On the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, Bangladesh Bank (BB) will release new notes in the market through banks from March 31. 

Common people can exchange the new notes till April 9 except on weekends and public holidays. ​​​​​​​

The central bank said that new notes will be exchanged among the public from March 31 through the counters of various branches of the central bank.

Apart from this, new notes of 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 taka will be exchanged from 80 branches of various commercial banks in Dhaka, Gazipur and Narayanganj in a special arrangement. A person cannot exchange money multiple times for new notes, Bangladesh Bank said.
