The ex-bureaucrat objected to the call of the rooster, the neighbor threatened the police!
A neighbor told Dhaka Post that a person came to me on March 18 and said that the secretary (Mahbub Kabir Milan) has asked for your number. Without giving the number, I took the secretary's number from him and called myself. He answered the phone and said, did the chicken farm on the roof? I say not a farm, I made a bird cage. There are no birds there now. The children went to the village and brought five chickens, one of them a rooster. He said, when the rooster crowed, the area became a village and became famous!
I told him, many people keep chickens in this area, even in front of your house. He said, I will tell everyone to remove these, otherwise I will take shelter of the police.
After being threatened by the police, Mahbub Kabir's neighbor slaughtered the rooster. But keep the chickens.
After two days, he sent people to that house again. Meeting of Mahbub Kabir. Said to stop raising chickens completely!
Another neighbor of Mahbub Kabir also made a similar complaint. He said, the secretary sent people from the society to the house. They have said that no chicken can escape on the roof. They should be removed.
Neighbors say, where is the problem of raising chickens in their own place? There is no such restriction anywhere. The Prime Minister also encouraged animal husbandry and farming in vacant land at home. Dhaka city will be an exception to this?
Former Secretary Mahbub Kabir Milan told Dhaka Post about these allegations, "Living in the city. House on top of house. Densely populated areas. A few houses next to me have chickens. Can't sleep all night because of rooster crowing. Especially late night to mid day. Due to this noise pollution, one cannot sleep after Fajr prayer.
He said, 'It is easy to imagine the terrible form of noise pollution that can be caused by a few roosters crowing together in the middle of the night in 3/4 buildings. So I sent people to all the houses and requested them not to let the rooster escape. There is no problem with chickens running away. Because chickens don't crow.'
"If I object to a house, then I will have no choice but to file a GD at the police station," he said. Because it is a city, not a village. Densely populated residential areas. After that, the rooster was removed from all the houses. Now there is no problem,' he said.
Mahbub Kabir Milan last served as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Railways before retiring. He took various initiatives to prevent irregularities and corruption in railways. He is also a well-known face on Facebook. He writes on various subjects.
