It has been decided to run the city's relief vehicle, Metrorail, even after 9 pm today on Wednesday. Managing Director MAN Chiddik told reporters at the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) office at Iskaton in the capital on Tuesday afternoon.

MAN Siddique said, from Wednesday, the last train will leave from Uttara Uttar station at nine o'clock in the night. And the last train will leave from Motijheel station at 9:40 PM. He said that from Wednesday to the day before the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, the time limit of metro rail will increase by one hour. 10 more trains will run during additional hours. The total number of metro movements will be 194 times per day. At that time, 4 lakh 47 thousand 752 passengers can travel a day.

Note that currently the metro rail is running from 7 am to 8.40 pm. Metrorail runs every 8 minutes during peak hours (7am to 11:30am and 2am to 8pm). And the metro rail runs every 12 minutes during off-peak hours from 11:00 to 2:30.

According to DMTCL sources, an average of three and a quarter lakh passengers traveled daily for the 15 days before the start of the fast.
