Pakistan announced the possible date of Eid-ul-Fitr

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said that the new moon is likely to be sighted on the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr on April 10 and Shawwal on the evening of April 9. In a report on Monday, Pakistani media Geo News said this.

According to the Met office, the new moon will rise at 11:21 pm on April 8 and will wax in between 19 and 20 hours the next day (April 9) evening. It also said that the moon will be visible for more than 50 minutes after sunset.

PMD said that the skies will be clear over most parts of the country on April 9. However, it has also been reported that the sky may remain cloudy in the northern region.

Eid is usually celebrated in Bangladesh and India the day after Saudi Arabia. As such, the holy Eid-ul-Fitr can be celebrated on April 10 in Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and other Asian countries.

Meanwhile, according to the observation of Bangladesh Meteorological Department, 3 consecutive months do not occur in 29 days. This Ramadan is most likely to be 30 days. As a result, Eid-ul-Fitr may be on April 11. The government has fixed the holiday list on April 11 as the day of Eid-ul-Fitr.

In a briefing at the Secretariat after the Cabinet meeting on Monday, the Cabinet Secretary said that the previous 2 months of Ramadan had ended in 29 days. Therefore, the possibility of this month being 29 days is very unlikely, so the proposal for a holiday on April 9 has been rejected.

Earlier, the moon of the holy month of Ramadan was sighted in Pakistan on March 11 and the first day or first fast of the holy month was observed the next day. So Pakistanis will fast for 29 days if PMD predictions come true.

Muslims around the world celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr when Ramadan ends and Shawwal begins. The religious month of Ramadan teaches to practice patience and self-control, while also encouraging charity and benevolent works.
