The President directed the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) to strengthen research and development of new sources of energy. Sahabuddin
The Chief Minister gave this direction while presenting the BERC Annual Report 2023-24 at Bangabhaban on Tuesday (April 2) afternoon.
President Sahabuddin said, "We have to emphasize on inventing new sources of fuel."
Emphasizing on finding new sources of energy, he directed BERC to strengthen research activities in this regard.
The President said that the energy sector is one of the most important sectors in the socio-economic development of a country.
He said that along with the development of the country, the demand for electricity is gradually increasing.
The President hopes that BERC will give sound and timely recommendations and advice to the government on stability and pricing in the energy sector.
