Cyprus says aid ships have turned back from Gaza with over 200 tonnes of undelivered aid after Israeli strike

A ship carrying 240 tons of aid is returning from the Gaza coast without unloading its cargo, following Israeli occupation forces' barbaric attacks on foreign aid workers in the Palestinian Gaza Strip.

Cyprus reported the information on Tuesday (April 2). It was from Cyprus that ships with relief rushed to the coast of Gaza. Among them, the attack on relief workers took place after releasing 100 tons of relief from a ship.

A private organization named World Central Kitchen was in charge of distributing these reliefs. At least 7 employees of the organization were killed in the Israeli attack. Among them were Australian, UK, Poland, US-Canada joint and Palestinian nationals. Three of the dead were from the UK alone.

World Central Kitchen suspended its operations in Gaza after the worker was killed. Relief ships are now leaving without unloading goods due to fear of further attacks.

Cypriot Foreign Ministry spokesman Theodoros Gotsis said at least 100 tons of aid had been released before the attack. A sea route was built from the port of Larnaca in Cyprus to the coast of Gaza, Palestine. This route was used to bring relief to starving Gazans. But Israel has now threatened it by attacking foreign aid workers.

It is known that the relief workers were returning by car after leaving relief in a warehouse in Deir Al Bala. That's when they were attacked.

Occupier Israel has accepted responsibility for this barbaric attack. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that their troops had inadvertently attacked aid workers. Israel has apologized for this incident.
