At least 11 people were killed in a three-way collision involving a truck, an autorickshaw and a private car in Jhalkathi.

The accident took place on Wednesday (April 17) around 2 pm in the Gabkhan bridge area of Jhalkathi on the Barisal-Pirojpur regional highway. Several people were injured in this incident. However, the names of the victims were not immediately known.

Jhalkathi Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohammad Afruzul Haque Tutul confirmed the matter. Meanwhile, on receiving the information, fire service, police and local people are conducting rescue work at the spot. Several injured people were rescued and sent to a local hospital. According to local sources, the number of casualties may increase.
