Chuadanga recorded the highest temperature in the country for two consecutive days

An intense heat wave is flowing over Chuadanga.

On Wednesday (April 17) afternoon, the temperature was recorded at 40.7 degrees Celsius. Which is the highest of this season. On Tuesday (April 15) the temperature was the highest in the country at 40.6.


Doctors are advising the elderly and children not to go out except for important work in this ongoing severe heat wave. Dr. Chuadanga Sadar Hospital pediatrician. Asadur Rahman Malik said, children should be fed water or liquid food frequently during this time. Otherwise, dehydration may occur.


At 3 pm today, Chuadanga regional meteorological observatory recorded a temperature of 40.7 degrees. At that time the air humidity was 22 percent.


As the day progressed, the intensity of the sun increased. Uneasiness is increasing among the common people moving on the road. Many are wetting their throats by drinking syrups sold on the roadside. Working people were seen resting under trees and in shady places hoping for some relief.

Jaminur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Chuadanga Meteorological Office, said that there is a strong current flowing over Chuadanga. This situation may continue for a few more days. But there is no possibility of rain now.
