Iran's army ready to face any attack by Israel

Iran's military is ready to counter any attack by Israel, Tehran said. The country's air force said it was ready to counter any move by Israel. Iran's state-owned media reported this information on Wednesday.

On the same day, the commander of the Iranian Navy said that they are providing security to Iranian commercial ships in the Red Sea.

Iran attacked Israel for the first time on April 13 in retaliation for the Israeli attack on an Iranian diplomatic building in Damascus on April 1. On that day, the Iranian military launched hundreds of drones and missiles at various installations and bases of the Israeli military.

The incident of this attack by Iran has created great tension in the Middle East. Israel has said it will strike back at Iran. Israel's wartime cabinet is meeting on Wednesday to discuss options for an attack.

"Any attack by Zionist Israel on our soil will be met with a strong response," President Ibrahim Raisi said at a military parade in Tehran on Wednesday to mark Iran's Armed Forces Day.

At the same event, Iran's air force commander warned that Iran's Russian-made Sukhoi-24 fighter jets, including other aircraft, were on "highest readiness" to counter Israeli attacks.

Commander Brigadier General Amir Vahedi said, "Our air defense system and bombers are fully prepared in all areas." We are prepared for any eventuality.”

Israel may launch a direct attack on the country's Revolutionary Guard base or nuclear research centers inside Iran. Besides, there are targets outside of Iran.

According to a report by the country's semi-official Tasnim news agency, Admiral Shahram Irani said Iran's navy was guarding its commercial ships in the Red Sea. He said the navy is conducting a mission to escort Iranian commercial ships in the Red Sea and our Jamaran frigate is present in the Gulf of Aden.

Shahram Irani said that Tehran is ready to escort the ships of other countries as well. Attacks by Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels are disrupting Israel-bound shipping in the Red Sea.
