Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has announced to increase the price of gold again. A maximum of 2 thousand 65 rupees has been increased per charge. As a result, the price of good quality i.e. 22 carat gold is 1 lakh 19 thousand 638 taka. This is the highest price of gold in the market of the country. Before this, the last price was 1 lakh 17 thousand 573 taka.

This information was informed in a press release signed by Masudur Rahman, Chairman of the Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee of Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) on Thursday (April 18).

According to Bajus, the price of acidic gold has increased in the local market. The new price of gold has been fixed keeping in view the overall situation. The new price will be implemented from 7 pm today.

According to the new price, the best quality or 22 carat (11.664 grams) gold is Tk 1 lakh 19 thousand 638, 21 carat gold is Tk 1 lakh 14 thousand 202, 18 carat is Tk 97 thousand 884. While the price of good quality gold has been increased, the price of conventional gold has been reduced. The new price of traditional gold will be 78 thousand 802 taka which was 80 thousand 190 taka so far.

Meanwhile, the price of silver has been kept unchanged. According to the category, currently the price of 22 carat silver is 2 thousand 100 rupees, 21 carat price is 2 thousand 6 rupees, 18 carat price is 1715 rupees and traditional method silver price is 1 thousand 283 rupees.
