The Ministry informed the Standing Committee on Liberation War Affairs of the 12th Parliament that the proposal to increase the honorarium of freedom fighter family members is being considered.
The second meeting of the 'Standing Committee on the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs' of the 12th National Parliament was held at Jatiya Sangsad Bhavan on Thursday (April 18). The meeting was presided over by Major (retd.) Rafiqul Islam Bir Uttam.
In the meeting, the members of the committee were Minister of Liberation War Affairs A.K.M. Mozammel Haque, Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury, Captain (retd.) AB Tajul Islam, Abdul Latif Siddiqui, Md. Rezaul Haque Chowdhury and Mahfuza Sultana participated in the meeting.
In the meeting, the future plans and policies of the Ministry of Liberation War and the overall activities of the National Freedom Fighters Council (JAMUCA) were discussed in detail.
In the meeting, the committee was informed that the process of acquiring land for setting up a memorial center at Mujib Nagar has been taken up. The committee was informed that the government is considering the proposal to increase the honorarium of the family members of the martyrs and freedom fighters.
In the meeting, the secretary of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs, the heads of various departments and organizations and the relevant officials of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs and Bangladesh National Parliament Secretariat were present in the meeting.
