Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), the top commercial organization of information technology and software services sector, has announced the full panel of 'Team Success' in the elections. Mostafa Rafiqul Islam Duke officially announced the name of the panel on Thursday (April 18).

Mustafa Rafiqul Islam Duke, Taufiqul Karim Suhrid, Mohammad Aminullah, Sahibur Rahman Khan Rana, Imran Hossain, Md. will be elected in general category from Team Success in the election of BASIS 2024-24 term executive committee. Shafiul Alam, Syeda Nafisa Reza Barsha, Farzana Kabir Ishita. Besides, Rashed Mujib Noman from International category, Abdul Aziz from Affiliate category and Rafsan Jani Samir from Associate category will compete.

Mustafa Rafiqul Islam Duke said that if he wins the election, he wants to work to make the promise a reality and take appropriate measures to make the BASIS constitution timely and visionary as soon as possible. He said that the most urgent demand of the members is that Team Success wants to work to increase the tax exemption period. Before the expiry of the term in June 2024, we would like to discuss with the concerned authorities and directly meet the honorable Prime Minister to address the issue.

We want to get this facility till 2041 with the aim of building Smart Bangladesh. Duke said, We Team Success will work on changing policies, implementing plans, and above all getting financial incentives or assistance in line with time to make getting loans easy and cheap for IT companies. By formulating policies, we will endeavor to both request and provide an opportunity for digital banks to provide low interest loans to potential IT sector.

A portion of Digital Bank's total disbursement will be earmarked for the information industry in our proposed policy. Mustafa Rafiqul Islam Duke also mentioned that he wants to build accommodation and permanent base office for BASIS members.
