Bangladesh won the easy goal by making it difficult

Bangladesh won an easy match against a relatively weak opponent like Zimbabwe. Tigers have to sweat to score 139 runs off 120 balls. Despite winning by 6 wickets, Zimbabwe put the Bangladesh team under pressure.

But experienced Mahmudullah Riyad and young batsman Tawhid Hriday's responsible batting ensured victory with 9 balls in hand. With this victory, Bangladesh took a 2-0 lead in the five-match T20 series.

Bangladesh won the toss and sent Zimbabwe to bat first at the Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on Sunday.

Batting first, Zimbabwe lost one wicket after another in the time interval from the beginning of the innings. Pace bowler Taskin Ahmed struck first in their camp. He broke the opening pair as soon as he came to the bowling. Opener Tadiwanashe Morumani returned lbw to him. He was dismissed for a team-high 15 runs in 3.6 overs.

Then in 7.1 overs, another opener Joylord Gambi returned by giving a catch to Mohammad Saifuddin's ball for 30 runs. Then Rishad Hossain hit the Zimbabwe camp one after another. Zimbabwean captain Sikandar Raja and Clive Mandande were his victims.

Former captain Craig Irvine was dismissed by Sheikh Mehdi Hasan. Zimbabwe lost 5 wickets for just 42 runs in 10.2 overs.

Having lost 5 wickets in just 42 balls from 62 balls, two middle order batsmen Jonathan Campbell and Brian Bennett took the lead of Zimbabwe.

They went on rampage in the sixth wicket and made a pair of 73 runs off 43 balls. Shariful Islam took the reins of their runs. Campbell was caught by Mohammad Saifuddin as he hit the boundary. He scored 45 off 24 balls with 4 fours and 3 sixes before returning to the dressing room.

Then Taskin Ahmed returned Luki Militant as the seventh batsman.

Brian Bennett and Ashley Ndiluvu scored 18 runs off just 8 balls in the eighth wicket partnership. In the end, Zimbabwe lost 7 wickets and scored 138 runs in 20 overs in their stormy batting.

Brian Bennett remained unbeaten with 44 runs off 29 balls with two fours and three sixes for the team.

Taskin Ahmed picked up 2 wickets for just 18 runs in 4 overs for the Bangladesh team. Rishad Hossain took 2 wickets for 33 runs in 4 overs. Shariful Islam, Taskin Ahmed and Sheikh Mehdi Hasan took one wicket each.
