More than two hundred people have died in a day due to flash floods in Baghlan province of Afghanistan. The United Nations International Organization for Migration told AFP news agency that Baghlan experienced unusually heavy rain yesterday. It causes flash flood there. Thousands of houses have been destroyed in this flood and more than 200 people have already died. More casualties are expected.
Afghanistan's National Disaster Management Authority said 1,500 houses were damaged or destroyed and more than 100 people were killed in Baglani Jadid division alone.
However, the Taliban government has confirmed the death of 62 people.
Several other provinces of Afghanistan have also experienced flash floods due to heavy rains. The country's government said 20 people were killed in floods in the northern province of Takhar on Saturday.

Badakshan province, central Ghor province and western Herat also suffered extensive damage to various infrastructures during Friday's rains.
