In 2 years, a student was not admitted to Stamford College!

Not a single student was admitted to Stamford College Uttara in two years. As a result, the board of education closed the college panel. Later, after opening the panel conditionally, various irregularities were again detected in the college. Meanwhile, the ownership was changed without board approval. In addition, the committee formed by the Ministry of Education has found evidence of irregularities in the formation of the executive committee and the appointment of teachers and staff. A show cause notice has been given to the college authorities due to these irregularities. The college may be closed if the correct response is not received within the next 15 working days.

On Thursday (May 30), Dhaka Education Board College Inspector (Additional Duty) Professor Mohammad Abul Manchur issued a show-cause notice to Bhuiyan College authorities.


In the letter of condolence, it has been said that teaching in a rented house without going to one's own building within the stipulated time, forming the executive committee in violation of the rules and finding evidence of irregularities in the appointment of teachers and staff. The college authorities should respond within the next 15 days regarding these irregularities. Otherwise the college executive committee and teaching permission will be cancelled.

It is known that the founder president of this college in Uttara of the capital is Fatinaz Feroze. He took permission to teach class XI in the academic year 2015-16 at (House-50, Road-17, Sector-11, Uttara, Dhaka). The condition was that the building should be constructed on the college's own land within 3 years after the permission. But the college could not go to its own building even in 9 years. On the other hand, the rental house has also been changed without the permission of the board.

Dhaka Education Board closed the panel of the institution as not a single student was admitted in this college in the academic year 2019-20 and 2020-21. Later, after an application by the college, the panel was reinstated after an inquiry in August 2022 and the teaching period was extended from 2018 to June this year. In the meantime, the executive committee was formed by changing the ownership. The permission of the Board of Education was not taken for this.


In the investigation, irregularities were found in the appointment of teachers and staff of private educational institutions, including the principal and all other teachers and staff. It is also said about the irregularities, the executive committee has been formed by breaking the rules related to founder members and donor members in March. Which is not legal. The board's permission was not taken for the transfer of the institution and the teaching program is being conducted in a rented house instead of the transfer.


In the show cause notice, the executive committee has been asked to reply within 15 working days as to why the initial permission to teach should not be revoked as the institution has breached the conditions at various times within seven working days.
