A storm with a maximum speed of 60 kmph is likely to blow over 8 districts of the country by 1 am. Along with that, there may be rain or thunder with rain, said the Meteorological Department.

This information is known in the warning given for the river ports on Sunday (June 2) from 3 pm to 1 am.

According to the warning, there may be temporary gusty or gusty winds or rain with thunder over the districts of Mymensingh, Faridpur, Madaripur, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Comilla and Sylhet from west and north-west direction.

The river ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.

Meanwhile, another notification of the Meteorological Office said that the southwest monsoon has advanced to Dhaka, Barisal, Chittagong, Sylhet, Mymensingh, Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions. Conditions are favorable for it to progress further.

In this situation, light to moderate rain with gusty wind or rain with thunder is forecast till evening in all parts of the country. Along with this, the Meteorological Office predicts that there may be moderate to heavy rainfall at some places in Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions.
