Some tourist centers of Sylhet have opened conditionally All the tourist centers of Goainghat Upazila of Sylhet have been opened conditionally after about six days due to adequate preparations for tourist safety and normal weather conditions. Sylhet Deputy Commissioner Sheikh Russell Hasan has confirmed the opening of these tourist centers from noon on Sunday (June 23). The conditions imposed by the administration include- All boat owners, boat drivers and passengers must ensure adequate provision of life jackets for the passengers considering the safety risk of the passengers on the navigation route in Jaflong tourist center. Due to the depth and currents of the Piane River at Jaflong, swimming is not permitted and children below 12 years of age cannot be boated in the Jaflong tourist resort. Apart from this, the tourist police have been instructed to provide adequate security and safety in the tourist centers. When asked about the overall safety and movement of tourists, Imran Hossain, general secretary of Jaflongstha Engineboat Owners Cooperative Society Limited, said that due to the deterioration of the flood situation in Sylhet during Eid, we stopped boat movement on the instructions of the administration. The upazila administration has again approved boat movement from today. Along with that we have been given some conditions and instructions. Many tourists have already come to travel since noon today. Jaflong has overall security and good movement of tourists. We invite tourists to come and enjoy the beauty of Jaflong and the magical fountain. Maximum hospitality has been arranged for you. Sylhet Deputy Commissioner Sheikh Russell Hasan said, our upazilas have tourism committees. The tourism committee of Goainghat has decided to open the tourist centers of their upazila considering the overall aspect of improving the flood situation and safety of tourists. So these tourist centers have been opened for tourists from 1 pm today. Tourism committee of Jaintapur and Companyganj will review and take next steps. However, we are looking at tourism positively. Incidentally, the Sylhet district administration announced the closure of all tourist centers in Sylhet on Tuesday, June 18 due to landslides and floods.
