16 Russell's vipers or Chandrabora snakes have been recovered from the Bangladesh Police Academy in Sarada of Charghat upazila of Rajshahi. Several of these snakes have been killed.
Additional Superintendent of Police of the academy Mohammad Abdul Mabud Dulal said that the remaining snakes have been given to the forest department.
It is said that the snakes came to public in two rounds from Sunday (June 23) morning.
Additional Superintendent of Police Mohammad Abdul Mabud Dulal said, since Sunday morning, Russell viper snakes have come out in public twice. First, around 10 am, 9 baby snakes came out.
Then in the second round 7 baby snakes are seen. The snakes were inside the police academy. Several of these snakes have been killed. The remaining few snakes have been handed over to the forest department officials.
Recently, this snake has been seen in the localities of different districts of the country, which has spread panic among the public.
