Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), the trade organization of Bangladesh's software and information technology services sector, is running for the post of director in the executive council elections.

Abdul Aziz said in a recent post on the social media Facebook asking for the votes and support of BASIS members, I am your BASIS family's affiliate category varika.com Ltd. A Basis affiliate member as a representative. I am contesting the election as a director candidate in the affiliate category in the upcoming BASIS elections.

Abdul Aziz, the son of a freedom fighter, is a mechanical engineer, in his career he started working in the engineering department of the railway department of the Bangladesh government (outside Dhaka) through the Bangladesh Public Works Commission (PSC). Later started a small scale business with the help of family members. In between, he received an MBA from a public university and a higher degree in law.

Apart from this, Abdul Aziz is managing various service and business establishments. At present thousands of people have been employed in his establishments.

He said, I want to be always connected with the respected and respected BASIS members and I want to be by the side of the respected BASIS members all the time in happiness and sorrow.

He further said, I want to keep devoting myself to the welfare of all with your prayers, love and support. I will consider myself successful and worthwhile if I can play a role in protecting your interests by devoting my labor and time to the welfare of respected members and member organizations like you.

It is known that the elections for the next term will be held on May 8 (2024-26). The election will be held at the Rawa Convention Center in Mohakhali of the capital.

According to the schedule, it is said to pay the annual membership fee including the dues of the members from the voters in the election by March 10.

It is known that 3 possible panels can participate in the election. The final voter list will be published on March 23. The sale of nomination forms will start on March 27.

The election commission of the organization will publish the final candidate list on April 20. TIM Nurul Kabir will serve as the board chairman in the commission.

Last on December 27, 2021, 29 candidates contested against 11 positions in the organization's executive council election for the term 2022-24.
