Chuadanga, the bordering district of the southwestern part of the country, is burning due to intense heat wave. There is no relief anywhere in the sun and heat. Everything is hot in the hot sun. Hard workers are suffering the most. Chuadanga recorded a temperature of 41.3 degrees Celsius at 3 pm on Friday (19 April). The humidity in the air was 17 percent. Which is the highest temperature in the district this season.


Earlier, Chuadanga recorded 40.4 degrees Celsius on Thursday (April 18), 40.8 degrees on Wednesday (April 17) and 40.6 degrees Celsius on Tuesday (April 16). Which was the highest temperature in the entire country.

Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department has issued a warning that the ongoing heatwave over the country may continue for the next 72 hours from today (April 19). Also, the temperature may increase further. The agency also states that excess water vapor may increase discomfort.


Bivas Chandra Saha, Deputy Director of Chuadanga Agricultural Extension Department advised the farmers to protect their crops in the ongoing wildfires. There is very little chance of rain during this time. In this case, the farmers have been advised by the Department of Fruits, Horticulture Research Centre, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute.


Farmers say that the fruits and crops are getting damaged due to the intense sun. Various crops including mango, litchi, paddy are being burnt. There is fear of loss. But today there is some relief in the work of the wind factor.

Housewife Nishi, a resident of Chuadanga Sadar, said that she is living in a tin house with her husband and two small children. As the day progressed, the rice in the tin became hot. Can't stay at home. Having to live under the tree next to the house. There is no benefit from running the fan.

Jaminur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Chuadanga First Class Meteorological Observatory, told Dhaka Post that on Friday (April 19) at 3 pm, a temperature of 41.3 degrees Celsius was recorded in Chuadanga. Intense heat flow is flowing over the district. There is no sign of rain. The temperature may rise further. Whether it is the highest temperature in the country can be confirmed at 6 pm.
