Raju Ahmed, Narayanganj District Correspondent of DBC News, was holding two weapons behind Shamim Osman. And Shamim Osman's Bey Faiz Uddin Lovelu and his son Minhajul Islam Vicky were holding pistols in the back row. At this time, they are also seen firing.

On that day, several hundred leaders of Awami League, Jubo League, Chhatra League attacked the agitators with firearms and sharp weapons from Chashadha to Mandalpara intersection of Bangabandhu Road under the leadership of Shamim Osman. Although there are no policemen in the city from noon to afternoon, police presence is seen after afternoon.
Eyewitnesses also said that Shamim Osman's son Imtinan Osman Ayan, Ajmeri Osman's nephew, Shah Nizam, joint secretary of Metropolitan Awami League, also fired on that day. Metropolitan Awami League organizing secretary Zakirul Alam Helal, Chhatra League leader Ahmed Kausar, former president of Metropolitan Chhatra League Habibur Rahman Riyad, former district Chhatra League general secretary Ashraful Ismail Rafal Pradhan, Metropolitan Chhatra League president Mehdi Hasan Samrat, general secretary Russell Pradhan were also present at the weapons drill.
