When the servant prays, Allah Ta'ala accepts it and He waits for the servant's prayer. It is stated in the Holy Qur'an, "You call upon Me, and I will answer for you." (Surah Ghafir, verse 60)
That's why praying to Allah Ta'ala for any needs, wants, expectations and being able to practice prayer is one of the blessings of a believer's life. Just as prayer is a unique form of worship, it is also a means of changing people's destiny.
In a hadith narrated by Hazrat Abu Hurairah Radiyallahu Tayala Anhu, the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, "Nothing can change fate except dua and life cannot be increased without good deeds." (Sunan Ibn Maja', Hadith, 90)

Here are the three supplications mentioned in Surah Ma'idah of the Qur'an:

Dua to stay away from faseks
Meaning: 'O my Lord, I do not have authority over anyone except myself and my brother. So make a separation between us and the Fasiq Qawm. (Surat al-Maida, (5), verse, 25)

Prayer to be with the believers

Isa's prayer for good sustenance

Meaning: 'O Allah, our Lord, send down to us a table full of food from the sky; It will be our pleasure. For our predecessors and successors. And there will be a sign from you. And give us sustenance, you are the best sustenance giver. (Surat al-Maida, (5), verse, 114)
