Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has announced a 7-point reduction in the price of gold.

Finally, the price of good quality gold has been reduced by Tk 420. Now the price of a 22 carat gold bar is reduced by Tk 1 lakh 11 thousand 41. Earlier the price was 1 lakh 11 thousand 461 taka.

This information was informed in a press release signed by Masudur Rahman, chairman of the Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee of Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) on Tuesday (April 30).

According to the association of gold traders, the price of acid gold has decreased in the local market. The new price of gold is fixed keeping in view the overall situation. The new price will be effective from 4 pm today.

According to the new prices, the price of best quality or 22 carat (11.664 grams) gold is Tk 111,41 per bar, 21 carat is Tk 16,02 per bar, 18 carat is Tk 90,863 and traditional method gold is Rs. The price has been reduced to 75 thousand 559 rupees.

The price of gold has been reduced but the price of silver has been kept unchanged. According to the category, currently the price of 22 carat silver is 2 thousand 100 rupees, 21 carat price is 2 thousand 6 rupees, 18 carat price is 1715 rupees and traditional method silver price is 1 thousand 283 rupees.

Bajus also reduced the price of gold yesterday. According to that price, the best quality or full gold of 22 carats is sold at 1 lakh 11 thousand 461 taka, 21 carat is 1 lakh 6 thousand 399 taka, 18 carat is 91 thousand 201 taka and traditional gold is sold at 75 thousand 839 taka.
