Severe heat wave is blowing across the country, people's life has become unbearable due to extreme heat. Shortness of breath when going out in hot weather and sweltering heat. Several people have already died in the heat attack across the country. In this situation, Chief Hit Officer of Dhaka North City Corporation Bushra Afrin has advised the citizens to keep things like water bottles, hats, fans, umbrellas in their bags.

In an interview given to the media recently, he said, he is not sitting on the responsibility. Trying to find out why the temperature is rising in Dhaka. Trying to find out what other steps can be taken to deal with the situation.

Bushra said that they are running 'heat awareness campaign' regularly to save everyone from this situation. According to him, it is necessary to plant more trees to reduce the temperature in Dhaka and surrounding areas.

He said, we plan to plant 2 lakh trees along the road here. Not only should trees be planted, they should also be properly maintained. Urban afforestation is very important. We have also looked into greening the vacant and abandoned places here. We need more parks and green spaces here. As the temperature will decrease, various animals including birds will also return.

Bushra Afrin said about the plan to create a forest area in Dhaka to reduce the temperature in the city, we are trying to make two forests in order to reduce the temperature in Dhaka. One is Mirpur towards Kalyanpur; The other is next to Banani Expressway.

He said, these two forests will not only reduce the hit of the city; It will also help prevent pollution. At the same time, he said that trees will be planted in the empty spaces of the city to reduce the intense heat wave.

Bushra said, if we ourselves are aware of the intense heat wave - if we keep things like a water bottle, hat, fan, umbrella in our bag before leaving the house, then we can get a lot of safety.

About 80 percent of the trees in Dhaka city have been cut down. As a result, the temperature is also increasing with various problems. This heat officer also said that the temperature of Dhaka, which is in crisis due to the increasing population density, is higher than the rural areas.
