Measures will be taken to stop the violence of brokers in the hospital: Nasim

Dhaka-8 Constituency MP and President of the Hospital's Management Committee AFM Bahauddin Nasim said that effective measures will be taken to improve the quality of medical services for the patients of Dhaka Medical College (DMH) Hospital, maintain cleanliness and stop the violence of brokers.
He said this to reporters after the meeting of the management committee of DMK Hospital on Thursday (May 16) afternoon.
Bahauddin Nasim said, you know that Dhaka Medical College Hospital is one of the hospitals in Bangladesh. Today we had many important discussions, many agendas. Steps will be taken to implement them. Improving the quality of medical care and ensuring that there is no difficulty in getting medical care for the general public. We discussed how more patients can get ICU services and how ICU beds can be increased. 15 ICUs are being extended in the hospital. Of these, 10 will be launched in the first phase. More ICUs will be opened gradually. Those comatose patients who require ICU will be accommodated. In Dhaka Medical, there are various kinds of obstacles in the case of patients coming from far away for medical care, they have to be removed step by step. Medical should be kept clean at all times.
He also said that there is a class of brokers who prevent common people from getting medical services. It has been decided to take measures to reduce the violence of those brokers. As soon as possible all illegal structures around the hospital which obstruct the patient's access to the hospital should be removed and kept clean.
There are still many vacant positions in the hospital, he said in response to the question of the journalists whether any decision has been taken to appoint them, he said, you know one thing that if a patient comes to Dhaka Medical, he does not return from here without receiving medical treatment. Actions will also be taken on how to fill up these vacant posts.
At this time the director of DMK Hospital Brigadier General Md. Asaduzzaman, doctors, nurses and officials were present.
