Gold price fell by Rs 1,283

Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has announced to reduce the price of gold in the country's market again. This time, the price of the best quality or 22 carat gold (11.664 grams) has been reduced by 1 thousand 283 taka and the new price has been set at 1 lakh 17 thousand 177 taka. So far it was 1 lakh 18 thousand 460 taka. 


This information was informed in a press release signed by Masudur Rahman, Chairman of the Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee of Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) on Saturday (May 25).


According to the notification, the price of acidic gold has decreased in the local market. The new price of gold has been fixed keeping in view the overall situation. The new rates will be effective from Sunday (May 26).


As per the new prices, the best quality or 22 carat (11.664 grams) gold is priced at Tk 1 lakh 17 thousand 177, 21 carat gold is priced at Tk 1 lakh 11 thousand 846, 18 carat is priced at Tk 95 thousand 866 and traditional method gold It will be sold for 79 thousand 257 taka.


The price of gold has been reduced but the price of silver has been kept unchanged. According to the category, currently the price of 22 carat silver is 2 thousand 100 taka, 21 carat is 2 thousand 6 taka, 18 carat is 1715 taka and the price of traditional silver is 1 thousand 283 taka.
