With the support of Chhatra League, attacks were carried out on protesting students in various educational institutions, including Dhaka University, Chittagong University and Comilla University, based on the quota movement. The Chhatra League leaders and activists of Comilla University are resigning en masse in protest of this attack.
Around 30 to 40 leaders and activists of different halls have resigned from Monday (July 15) evening by posting on social media.

Qaumi students protest in Dhaka
It is known that the students of different batches of Nawab Faizunnecha Chaudhurani Hall, Shaheed Dhirendra Nath Dutta Hall and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall of Comilla University have announced to withdraw from Chhatra League due to the attack on the protesting students.
The recently resigned Shahid Dhirendra Nath Dutta Hall's Legal Secretary posted on social media and said, 'Student politics was my favorite place, a place of love. I have no association with BCL from today. Nobody will call me. Datta is not one's father'
Md. Mahbubur Rahman, the recently resigned Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall's organizing secretary, said that the world is not everything, there is something called the hereafter. May my name not be in an organization where everyone says Alhamdulillah when someone dies'.
The organizational secretary of Nawab Faizunnecha Chaudhurani Hall resigned from Chhatra League and posted, 'I am ashamed that I was associated with such an organization.'
Tanzina Akhter, who recently resigned from the Chhatra League and belongs to the batch of 2021-22, said that all the girl Chhatra League workers of the 16th batch of Nawab Faizunnecha Chaudhurani Hall, including me, have resigned from the Chhatra League. We will not go to any program of BCL from today.'
As a reason, he mentioned 'I resigned from the group who can brutally hurt the body of another student as a student.
