Unmanned aerial vehicles or drones will be manufactured in a factory in Bangladesh. A Bangladeshi company called Sky Biz Limited has taken the initiative to manufacture this hi-tech drone for export.
These drones, which are generally used for various commercial and service purposes, are known as Unmanned Aerial Vehicles or UAVs around the world. The entrepreneurs said that this is the first such drone to be made for commercial and export purposes in the country.

Sky Biz has planned to set up a factory at Bepza Economic Zone in Chittagong's Mirsrai to manufacture UAVs. Sky Biz will invest about 4.6 million US dollars to set up this factory on a two-acre site and start manufacturing drones, which is about 5.5 billion taka in Bangladeshi currency.
Sky Biz officials said that they will make a total of 10 models of UAVs. They expect the production of two models to start in January. If the factory is fully operational, drones worth 169 million or 169 million dollars will be exported from here annually. It is equal to about 2 thousand 300 crores in Bangladeshi currency.
Jaseem Ahmed, managing director of Sky Biz, said that about two years ago, some students of a private university in the country took the initiative to make drones as part of their academic work. They were quite successful in this work. However, lack of sufficient investment and necessary parts; But they did not give up. Jasim Ahmed once contacted those students. He then arranged for adequate research and development (R&D) support in the manufacture of UAVs. For this, training is arranged abroad. At this stage the desired success comes.
Jaseem Ahmed said, initially they were able to make two models of drones and realized that it has a lot of potential in the international market. In continuation of this, he officially established a company called Sky Biz Limited in June last year. Sky Biz means bees in the sky; That is, the name is given to drones like bees in the sky.
After establishing the company, they met the Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Export Processing Zone Authority (BEPZA) and informed about their products and investment plans. At the same time, Bepza expressed interest in setting up factories in economic zones. Bepja agreed to this.

Sky Biz Limited will set up a factory on a two-acre site in Bepza Economic Zone, Mirsrai. For this purpose, the company will sign an agreement with Bepza authorities tomorrow Thursday.
The drones that will be made
In its investment proposal to Bepza, SkyBiz said it will go into manufacturing a total of 10 models of fixed and rotary wing UAVs. These will have different payloads and endurance. When fully operational, their factory will produce 7,314 UAVs of various models annually.
But initially the company will develop high-performance rotary wing UAVs for firefighting. At the same time fixed wing or vital will be made suitable for cinematography, mapping and surveillance. Commercial production of both the models will begin in January.
Jaseem Ahmed, managing director of Sky Biz, said that the UAV made by them can be used for service work such as pesticide spraying, fire fighting, product delivery, relief distribution in disaster areas and conducting rescue operations in the agricultural sector. There is a huge demand for such drones in many countries of the world, including Europe and the United States.
Jaseem Ahmed also said, 'Each of our UAVs is primarily designed for civilian use. Design, software, flight controls for all Sky Biz models are self-invented. However, parts and raw materials have to be imported for now. We have a plan to produce them locally in stages.
The parent company of Sky Biz is Sunamco Industries. Its founder is also Jaseem Ahmed. They have textile and garment manufacturing factories in Dhaka and Ishwardi EPZs. Jaseem Ahmed has also invested in ready-made garments industry. Apart from this, he is also one of the founders of EPZ-based industries Global Levels Bangladesh Limited (Spain-Bangladesh joint investment) and Jinki Global Textile Bangladesh Limited (China-Bangladesh joint investment).
